Hello Miss Whitney

Hairstylist, Flat Track racer, motorcycle lover and did we mention Chic Riot model! This biker babe is giving us all the right vibes. So let’s get to know more about the newly engaged, Miss Bebe.

In a few sentences tell us about yourself:

Hi my name is Whitney, originally from Ohio but transplanted to Atlanta, Georgia! I’m a precision hair stylist that loves long adventures in my converted transit van, Flat Track racing, and to rip around on anything with wheels!

Who or what got you into riding?

For my 25th birthday, my fiancé Alex surprised me with my first bike, a little Honda Rebel 300. As for racing, I was going to watch Alex race up in Tennessee and I got a phone call on my way up there that they didn’t have enough women for their Hooligan class. They went ahead and signed me up before I could even say yes. When I got there, I borrowed a bike that was too big, some kids shoes had no clue what I was doing, but I immediately knew I was hooked.

What do you ride? And what does your bike say about you?

I currently am rebuilding my Harley Davidson XG750 Street Rod with Vandals Moto that we have converted it in to a street legal race bike! From the classic teal paint, to the pops of gold and loud pipes, she is 100 percent built for me.

How does it feel to be a female rider in this male dominated sport/lifestyle?

Being a female rider in a male dominated sport felt intimidating at first, but I have felt nothing but welcomed and supported. The Flat Track community is the most encouraging group of people I’ve ever been around. People will come together and help get your bike fixed just so you can get back out there and ride. More and more women are joining the community everyday and it’s always amazing seeing new faces pop up at races that quickly become familiar.

What is the most memorable experience or most fun you've had since riding?

Wow, I don’t even know. Every weekend is a new adventure for me, still experiencing a lot of firsts but one that stands out to me most right now was probably last year racing at Sturgis. We started the trip off by going to the X-Games in Minneapolis to watch Hooligan racing and high tailed it up to Sturgis, South Dakota. A few days and a few tracks later, I got to rip around on a bunch of mini bikes, Dave Kilkenny let me borrow his Yamaha 450 and ride at Jackpine Gypsies, someone also let me run their sprint car.. I may have rolled it. That was the most fun I’ve had since riding, a week of nothing but racing, camping and everything motorcycles.

Bonus question: Ramen noodles or Cereal. Which one can you live without?

Ramen Noodles. Have you ever had a bowl of cereal past midnight?? It hits on a whole different level!

Maybe one day Whitney could teach us how to ride the flat track, but until then be sure to follow her on Instagram @ Whitneybebe
