Much respect to Jaclyn

Can we get a round of applause for this newly biker babe, motovlogger, wife and mother of six! Yes, you read that correctly! Can she be any more amazing?! It just goes to show you how awesome and unstoppable women are.

In one or two sentences tell us about yourself..

Chic-Riot-Spotlight-Jaclyn

I am an Arizona born and raised mother of six who LOVES photography and has a new found passion for motorcycles. I am probably the biggest homebody you have ever met, but I can't say no to a long road trip with the family! We currently live in Chandler, AZ but I can feel the mountains calling my name.

Who or what got you into riding?

Chic-Riot-Spotlight-Jaclyn

My husband is definitely the one who got me into riding. Ever since we were married, we always had motorcycles of one sort or another. He started out buying and selling bikes to help support our family, but that eventually evolved into him starting a YouTube channel featuring some of the bikes that he would pick up. After having our last child, we sat down and tried to talk about what I wanted to do now. After spending the last 10 years having babies and then raising them, I had lost my own identity. I couldn't think of what I enjoyed doing outside of family activities. We decided that I would hop on a motorcycle and start to learn to ride. I had hopped on a few bikes throughout the years, but had never focused on actually learning and progressing as a rider.

What do you ride? And what does your bike say about you?

Chic-Riot-Spotlight-Jaclyn

Thanks to my husband buying and selling motorcycles, I have had the opportunity to try out many different motorcycles. I have ridden a Honda Grom, DRZ Supermoto, XSR700, Vulcan S, CBR1100, Dyna Streetbob, Iron 883, Street Rod 750, Thruxton 900...etc. The one that I always seem to go back to is the DRZ, XSR, and Iron 883. I have yet to find one that I feel is MY bike. I would absolutely love to find one that I can modify to fit my style.

How does it feel to be a female rider in this male dominated sport/lifestyle?

Chic-Riot-Spotlight-Jaclyn

When I first started riding, I was only familiar with male motovloggers. I felt a little alone in my riding, especially being a mom motorcyclist. After doing a little research and reaching out to some other riders, I was amazed to see how many female riders there actually were! I absolutely love finding other female riders and being able to connect with them through social media. I feel like we have this unspoken connection through riding. We have so much to offer as female motorcyclists and so much potential to make a mark in this community!

What is the most memorable experience or most fun you've had since riding?

Chic-Riot-Spotlight-Jaclyn

The most memorable experience I've had is just seeing all of these things that are possible that I never would have imagined I would be capable of doing! Never in a million years would I have thought that I would be learning to ride a motorcycle at this age and with these many kids. For example, I was able to do a wheelie on the grom! That experience showed me that you shouldn't put limits on what you think is possible. I had watched my husband wheelie his Dyna over and over again, but never thought I would ever be doing something like that! Put in the work and you'll see amazing progress!

Bonus question: Would you rather: Have a movie based off of you and your family, or a 2 season reality TV show and why?

I would rather have a movie based off of my life. That way it can look a little less chaotic over here! With 6 kids, you can imagine it gets pretty crazy! Movies have a way of making things look a little nicer than they actually were. I know it's not an authentic real-life story, but it's nice to leave a little to the imagination.

We at Chic Riot are also parents, and it’s been so cool to see Jaclyn’s journey on her YouTube channel as well as on her Instagram. We enjoyed reading her story because it just goes to show that riders come from all walks of life. From sisters to mothers to grandmothers and even great grandmothers… it’s never to late to start riding.

Until next time, ride safe and stay Chic!!
