Chic Riot Spotlights: Zahara

In one or two sentences tell us about yourself...

My name is Zahara and I live just north of Atlanta, GA in Forsyth County. I work in staffing/recruiting and I am one of the founders of The Litas Atlanta, an all women’s motorcycle collective.

Who or what got you into riding?

My husband exposed me to motorcycles and riding. He bought his bike first and after riding with him a few times, I had to get my own.

What do you ride? And what does your bike say about you?

I ride a 2016 Harley Davidson Iron883 Sportster. It’s matte black and super customizable. I feel that my bike lets me be the daredevil bada** that is my alter ego. When I ride I get an overwhelming feeling of freedom and adrenaline that is indescribable.

How does it feel to be a female rider in this male dominated sport/lifestyle?

I feel empowered and I get respect from most male riders.

What is the most memorable experience or most fun you've had since riding?

My most memorable experience is the first time my husband and I did a road trip to SC. It was a 4 hour ride each way and such a fun trip! My second most memorable ride was our last big Litas event. We had 22 bikes, all ladies and I was road captain. The most empowering feeling is leading a large group of bada** women on motorcycles.

Bonus question: For the rest of your life you never eat cake or ice cream, which one will go?!

Hard question, but I would have to say cake can go. I am a sucker for a nice scoop of Rocky Road. ️:-)
